Questions, answered.
Common questions from prospective clients. Do not see yours here? Ask us directly.
Are you fiduciaries?
Yes, always. We are an investment adviser registered with the State of Texas, fee-only, with no commissions or third-party compensation. Our only loyalty is to the families and organizations we serve.
Do I need to be of a specific faith to work with you?
No. We serve families across the Christian tradition and beyond. Our convictions inform how we work — they do not gate who we work with.
How are your fees structured?
[Placeholder — confirm with compliance.] Investment management fees are calculated as a percentage of assets under management. Tax and planning work is quoted by engagement or scope. We share fee details transparently in our first conversation.
What is the difference between Angelus and Blanchard CPA?
Blanchard CPA clients are being served on the Angelus team during a planned wind-down. Tax compliance work continues under the Blanchard name where appropriate; forward-looking planning happens under Angelus. Over time, the Blanchard descriptor phases out entirely.
Do you offer biblically responsible investing?
Yes. Clients can opt into a biblically responsible investing (BRI) framework that screens out industries inconsistent with Christian convictions — without sacrificing diversification or long-term performance discipline.
Where are you located?
Our headquarters is in Sugar Land, Texas, serving the greater Houston area. We work with clients across the country virtually, with in-person meetings available as helpful.
What does a first meeting look like?
A fifteen-to-thirty-minute discovery call. We listen, you ask questions, and at the end we both decide whether a deeper conversation makes sense. No pressure, no sales pitch.
